Expert Q & A Answers About genital rash
Can you get a pimple on your outer vaginal area? My boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex for more than three years, but I get tested every year and I haven’t tested positive for anything so far. Recently, when he inserted his penis, I felt some discomfort...not inside, but when his penis hit the outside. Then I found this bump, very sore to the touch and looks like a pimple. Once I popped it, it didn’t hurt as much and it’s slowly going away. Should I be concerned about herpes?
We used a condom at first, but then we stopped. That’s when I noticed this red rash and skin-colored bumps. What are they?
My girlfriend and I recently started having sex. When we had sex for the first time, I used a condom and everything was fine. Then, she got on the pill and we stopped using a condom. That’s when I developed a red rash and many skin-colored bumps on the shaft, scrotum and anus that are uncomfortable, but not painful. I don’t feel sick and I don’t have any trouble peeing. Is this an allergic reaction to her birth control or something that her body makes? Or, do I have an STD?
I am 30-years-old and I have been suffering for the last three months from a painful wound on my penis. It looks like a skin rash right below the top part of the penis. If I am not sexually active, the pain and the wound disappear. But when I’m back to any sexual activity, there it comes is again: burning, very slightly bleeding and eventually getting swollen. I have tried an hydrocortisone cream before but is just made it worse. Do you think is a kind of fungus? What can I do about it?
