STI-infected individuals can anonymously tell partners they've been exposed
Since STIs are difficult to diagnose, it is important for an infected individual to communicate with past and current partners who could have been at risk. This is not an easy feat, especially if the individual has lost contact with past partners, which is where Alaun and Ryan Buckley's website, Dontspreadit.com comes into good use.
Dontspreadit.com is a website that allows people to anonymously notify their past and current partners by email or by text message that they have been exposed to an STI. The site was launched November 2011 and since then has generated over 300 notifications, throughout all 50 U.S. states and 80 other countries.
The site is user-friendly and uses a simple three-step process. All you need to do is select your STI, enter the email or phone number of the recipients and hit the submit button.
