Can my wife acquire pelvic inflammation through saliva during cunnilingus? On two occasions, she had symptoms of pain and burning feeling in her fallopian tubes and the doctor diagnosed PID for which she took antibiotics. Is cunnilingus the cause?
I have cracked skin on the tip of my foreskin. It’s not painful, itchy or sore and it feels just like the other skin around it. The only difference is that its "blemished" color makes it stand out. I have had unprotected sex once (due to a condom break), but I have had this blemish ever since I can remember - even before I became sexually active. Occasionally, when I masturbate too much it will get red and irritated, and the dead skin may scab. I got checked for STDs at a clinic twice, and it wasn't diagnosed as anything...and from what I gather online, what I have is similar to a yeast rash. I thought it was more common for girls to get yeast infections. What’s your advice?
I was just diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis and I’m wondering if it can cause infertility...especially if you have it for a long time and don’t get it treated. I had discomfort for almost a year before my doctor identified it. Right now I’m 21 and not ready for kids, but I’d like to have them sometime in the future.
I am 17 years old, and I’ve just been diagnosed with my first yeast infection. My boyfriend and I enjoy oral sex and I was wondering how long I should wait until we can have oral sex again? Until the itching is gone?
What is PID? How do you get treated for PID, and how long do the symptoms continue after being treated?
I have a problem with chronic yeast infections. It seems that 7 out of every 10 sexual encounters lands me with a yeast infection. Whenever I go to a doctor, I get tested for yeast, bacteria, gonorrhea and chlamydia… the diagnosis is sometimes yeast infection and sometimes bacterial vaginosis. What else could be causing my problem? Do you have any ideas to keep my yeast infections at bay? What STDs and health issues can cause vaginal itching?
I’m a guy and I’m concerned that I’m passing yeast infections to my female partners. Over the past several years, I’ve had three girlfriends and they’ve all come down with yeast infections at some point during the relationship. My current girlfriend got a yeast infection after our first sexual contact (I gave her oral sex). Could I be the cause?
Are “crabs” an STD? How do you catch them, and what are the treatment options?
I’m a 20-year-old questioning my sexual orientation. I recently had sex with a guy and got crabs. I bought Kewllada, washed myself as instructed and followed up with a fine tooth comb. I soaked my clothes, sheets and quilts in hot water and dried them. I also scrubbed my room. Three days later, I washed with the lice cream again, and repeated that again four days later. Now I have crabs again even though I have not been sexually active. I’ve washed everything four times and I can’t get rid of them! Please help!
Recently after sex, I experience an itch on my clitoris and vaginal opening. Sometimes it hurts. I looked at my vagina using a mirror and I noticed a white discharge. This only happens after sex, even when we use condoms. Why? Could it be from having different sex partners and switching to a new one? About a month ago I had gardnerella.
