Can your breakfast improve your sexual health?

A new breakfast cereal is claiming to do more than just nourish your body and help you take on the day. Sex Cereal claims to improve sexual health, too.

"Sexual health is so important," Peter Ehrlich, the creator of Sex Cereal, recently told The Toronto Sun. "I wanted to create something sexy and fun in the health food industry because nothing is. Everything is very serious."

The Canadian entrepreneur came up with the idea for the cereal while attending a vegan food fair. He worked with nutritionists to create two different formulas - one specially made to support men's sexual health and the other to support women's sexual health.

The men's formula contains ingredients that have been proven to support testosterone, including bee pollen, black sesame, wheat germ, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, camu camu, goji berries, cacao nibs and oats.

The women's formula contains ginger, cacao nibs, sunflower, chia seeds, almonds, flax seeds and oat bran - ingredients that have all been shown to support healthy hormone balance.

Both versions also contain an Incan super food, called maca, which is believed to increase stamina and boost libido.

The cereals are currently being sold for about $13 per box in Canadian health food stores. However, Ehrlich stated that he hopes to make it available worldwide in the future.
