Expert Q & A Answers About penis rash
I’ve noticed some red marks on the end of my penis. They dry up and become scabby after a while...what could they be?
I’ve been having unprotected sex with an ex-girlfriend. Since then, I have developed red marks on the end of my penis which dry up and become scabby after a while. They have been there for a month now, and I show no sign of breaking out of the spot-scab-spot cycle. Recently, one also appeared on my scrotum. I also have experienced severe itching and an intense, prickly rash. This began on my penis (it felt sort of 'inside') but has since spread to cover various areas of my whole body...small, hardly visible dots on my hands, arms, buttocks, etc. My ex had contact with another man who apparently had the same itchiness. Any idea what I might have? Are the two things (the blistering and the rash) related? Please help!
I am 30-years-old and I have been suffering for the last three months from a painful wound on my penis. It looks like a skin rash right below the top part of the penis. If I am not sexually active, the pain and the wound disappear. But when I’m back to any sexual activity, there it comes is again: burning, very slightly bleeding and eventually getting swollen. I have tried an hydrocortisone cream before but is just made it worse. Do you think is a kind of fungus? What can I do about it?
I’m a 31-year-old male who has been stupid and had unprotected sex. Now I have a few red spots on my penis and the skin seems to be rubbing off. When I touch the spots, it stings a little. Also, one side of my penis is slightly swollen. Can you please let me know what you think it is?
I’ve been getting friction burns on my penis with sex...or am I allergic to something? Can you help?
My girlfriend and I just recently started having sex. Unfortunately, I’ve been getting friction burns on my penis...or maybe it’s some type of allergic reaction to her? Is there a way to get rid of these symptoms other than not having sex?
We’ve been having sex for over a year, but now I’ve noticed some red and itchy bumps...do I have an STD?
I’ve been having sex with my wife for the last year without any problems. But last week, I found something that looks like a pimple on my penis. It’s red and itchy. It went away after a few days, but after we had sex tonight, I found two more bumps on the other side of my penis. Do I have an STD?
I have cracked skin on the tip of my foreskin. It’s not painful, itchy or sore and it feels just like the other skin around it. The only difference is that its "blemished" color makes it stand out. I have had unprotected sex once (due to a condom break), but I have had this blemish ever since I can remember - even before I became sexually active. Occasionally, when I masturbate too much it will get red and irritated, and the dead skin may scab. I got checked for STDs at a clinic twice, and it wasn't diagnosed as anything...and from what I gather online, what I have is similar to a yeast rash. I thought it was more common for girls to get yeast infections. What’s your advice?
My boyfriend has red lines around his penis, just below the head. Sometimes they are dry and chapped, and sometimes they look very red and shiny. He says sometimes they’re sore, and intercourse is irritating. I think it’s from having sex with different partners. I may be wrong, but when I ask him to get his symptoms checked out, he refuses.
