Hello, Thank you for your question.

I assume you are asking how to make a woman aroused?

Women need more touching and fondling than men. This is important to help release certain hormones, and to help with arousal.

Also there is an anticipation level to which a person can be highly excited. Masters & Johnston talked about a 'Sexual Response Cycle' -- the first phase is excitement -- this is when the man has an erection, the woman's vagina starts to lubricate, muscle tension and the heart rate in both men and women increase.

After this both sexes reach a plateau - the second stage and an advanced state of arousal, where both are ready for sex. The penis turns a purplish-blue from vaso-congestion, the testes are elevated, and the cowpers glands will secrete a few drops of fluid. In the woman, the vasoconstriction swells all the tissues of the outer third of the vagina, contracting the vaginal opening, making it ready to 'grasp the penis' and building up what is called her orgasmic platform.

The uterus elevates (lifts up and back) and the clitoris withdraws beneath the clitoral hood and shortens. The inner lips (labia minora) become highly coloured, and the breasts fully engorge. The Bartholins gland secretes a mucus. Breathing becomes rapid, like panting, she may be flushed and the heart rate can increase up to 160 beats per minute. Blood pressure rises. At this point, she is as excited and as 'ready for sex' as she can be, and totally ready for penetration. Any further stalling at this point may cause anger.

There are many kinds of role-playing and fetishes that people can find highly arousing - for example the master-slave situation, where one person is dominant and the other submissive -- with varying degrees of pleasure and punishment. All people are different, so you will have to talk and communicate with your lady to find out if she has any fantasies or fetishes, and the sorts of things that turn her on.

There are many books that can instruct on technique and positioning. One such book is an illustrated book called 'The Joy of Sex' which goes into more detail about positioning, arousal and foreplay.

Best Wishes,

Melissa BEE
