Question:
My daughter got her first period when she was ten it was red and it only lasted a day. she is now 12 and she has not gotten it since. What's wrong?

It may be that nothing is wrong, her body (as most girls's bodies work), is just trying to become regular and it can take a few years for that to happen. It likely is normal and you shouldn't fret. However, if you want her to become regular faster, a doctor can put her on the pill for a couple months and that will jump start her system. Unless she's 16, it may not be necessary. Thanks for writing in and be patient! Her body will be changing pretty fast within the next few years, no need to speed anything along. Megan Andelloux
