Question:
I just came down with a yeast infection today and i was wondering if you can still have sexual intercourse with a condom, and if my mate will receive the yeast infection??

It is generally okay to have sex with a condom while you have a yeast infection, however here are some issues to consider: 1) If you've treated the infecyion with a vaginal cream or suppository, the medication may contribute to the breaking down or bursting of the condom because of chemicals in the medicicne, please read labels carefully for such a warning 2) sometimes the friction of the intercourse doesn't feel so great on skim that is already irritated from an infection..it's best to limit the amount of thrusting time because of this 3) a partner can get a yeast infection in his mouth (its called thrush) from oral sex with a person who has a yeast infection, so you might want to abstain from that until you feel better. Good Luck!
