Question:
I am a 21 year old female who eight months ago had a laparscopy and found out that I had sever endometriosis. My main concern is that my doctor had reassured me that I would get pregnant in six months or less. I have been to several different doctors and I have done everything they have told me to do. But still no luck. Because of my age no doctor has taken my concerns seriously. What should I do and who could I see that might take me serious? I live in northeast Ohio. I live within hours of Cleveland, Ohio and Pittsburgh, PA. Thanks, B.

You are smart to want to get the correct treatment for your
endometriosis as quickly as possible. The fact that you are 21 years of
age doesn't mean that your problem shouldn't be taken seriously as soon
as possible. The best way to find local reproductive endocrinologists
in the Cleveland and Pittsburgh areas is to contact the national
organization RESOLVE and see what advice they will give you. If you join
nationally, you should be able to get information on physicians in both
Ohio and Pennslyvania. It is possible that you may have to join either
or both state chapters of the organization. When you join the national
organization, you are entitled to a free consultation from a wonderful
nurse named Diane Clapp. She may be able to steer you to the best
approach to take in locating a doctor in either city. In any event, you
