Well, you could still be bleeding because your hymen (aka cherry) has not fully torn apart. There could be remnents of it left and that is what is causing the bleeding. Of course, you could also be bleeding because you do not have enough vaginal lubrication, be it because you are on a hormonal birth control method (they reduce vaginal lubrication in some women), or because you and your partner are not waiting until you are fully lubricated, which is equivilant to a penis getting hard. Most people don't realize that the lubrication is created so that tearing doesn't occur and sex is more pleasurable for the woman. Of course the last reason that you are bleeding could be because you are not turned on enough and your partner is entering you before you are ready to be entered into. If any of these things are issues for you, I urge you to talk to your partner about it. Wait until a time when you are NOT being sexual and bring up that you are concerned about the fact that you are bleeding during sex and you would like it to stop and you learned that there are two reasons why you might be bleeding. Explain that it just has to do with your anatomy needing more time to get aroused than your partners and you really enjoy being sexual, but some things need to change. Of course, another option would be to just buy lubrication, sold at CVS or other drug stores, that are safe to use with condoms. They are sold in the condom aisle, under names like Astroglide and KY Liquid. These lubricants mimic vaginal lubrication and are great fun-lube makes sex feel even better. Best yet, it's cheap, usually 6.00 a bottle and a bottle lasts a long time. To use the lubrication, you place a couple drops on your genitals and play away! Both of those lubes are safe for someone to eat (if they are going down on you, performing oral sex, they don't taste bad is what I'm trying to say) and lubrication feels great on both sets of genitals, male or female so use it on your partner for extra fun! Good luck and soon the bleeding will stop. If it doesn't after you have practiced the following advice, go see a doctor and make sure everything is ok with you. Better safe than sorry and if you are concerned with your parents finding out you are sexually active, go to a Planned Parenthood or Women's Health Clinic (look under the yellow pages under Women's Health Clinic's). They are both places where people can go to get birth control or sexual health exams without anyone knowing that they are there. Everything is confidential. Good Luck and thanks for writing in!
