hi... i am a 16 yrold female and i had lost my virginity to the man im still with and he is the only 1 i have had intercourse with ...well last night we had sex and i came home and realized that my vagina is very swollen well the inner lips/labia are and they hurt. i am very concerned because i put ice on it thinking the swelling would go down but it didnt and i had sex about 7 hrs ago and its still swollen it stings a lil when i urinate im just wondering what the heck it is an how can i make it go away and i cant tell my mother because she has no idea i am sexually active plz help u can e-mail me or answer this her i dont care i just need help

It is normal to be sore and to have some post-coital swelling. If it persists or is very painful, you may want to see a gynecologist. To prevent such soreness in the future, make sure you have plenty of lubricant. You can buy lubricant at your local drug store. Specialty brands are available online at websites for women's sexuality such as evesgarden.com. You should also make sure that the vaginal lips are spread when your boyfriend enters you so that they do not get caught inside you and receive too much friction. You can also ask your boyfriend to move tenderly and slowly when he is inside you to reduce later aggravation from friction. I hope you are feeling better!
