Secondly, I'm considering gonig on the birth control pill. I know that the pill does not come in different dosages. My concern is that I'm a petite girl (around 5'1)...I'm afraid that due to my body size, I may suffer more side effects from the pill than women who may be of average height. I am assuming that when you checked, you kept anything that was in the condom away from the opening to your vagina!

As for the pill, it isn't usually about weight and size that determines any of the nuisance effects to the pill. The dosages now are small enough that even the smallest of people can take them effectively. People who are larger may have more difficulty because they may not be as protective with that heavier woman.

If you are worried about pregnancy and having intercourse regularly or at least several times a month, you might want to go on one of the many brands of pill or the patch. Having so many choices gives you lots of potential to not have any nuisance effects since if the one you begin on seems to give you problems, you can switch to another kind.

In today's world there aren't many women who experience as many side effects because there are so many more choices.
