Question:
I have had a sexual partner before, with whom I have had unprotected intercourse. I am currently with another partner, to whom I am the first and the only partner. I have recently been to a clinic to get my self tested and have no STI at the moment. If me and my partner just stick with each other (for sexual pleasures) can we still get STI through unprotected intercourse and through unprotected oral sex?

Short answer... unlikely but they don't test you for everything when you go in and say I want to tested! Here are the things you can't be tested for. 1. Herpes (cold sores on the genitals-look just like on the mouth) 2 wks before the sore can be seen it can still be transmitted-yuckyyyy! 2. HPV-geniatal warts - Several types. Visable Causes bumps to appear (warts) that have to be burned off Invisable Causes cervical and anal cancer (whatever hole it goes in) Hep A - if you do any oral/anal (rimming) action So, you are sure that neither YOU or YOUR PARTNER have EVER engaged in the following? Mouth on genitals Mouth on anus Dildo's in body Penis in vagina, anus or mouth Penis in anus Fingers in anus Fingers in vagina If you have done any of these things...use protection for safety sake cause you can get an infection from these behaviors. Use saran wrap over the genitals on a female or over an anus for oral. Vaginal or oral. Anal action. Better safe, unblemished and unburned than not! Cheers! Megan Andelloux
