Question:
Is it possible to know whether my partner is a carier through being tested, is it visible in blood work? because i recently had an out break hes never had one is it possible that he could have given me this infection? I also read on this site that you can get genital warts that occur in youre eye or on youre eyelids, is there anyway to treat this?

Ok Dearest- It is TOTALLY possible to be infected with herpes or syphillis (which are the diseases that cause "outbreaks", red oozy sores) without your partner 1. having an outbreak 2. having an outbreak that isn't visable 3. being infected with these diseases even though their std test's came back negative. These are the reasons-1. some people have very mild outbreaks that they aren't aware are an std. 2. The outbreak may be in a "hidden location", one that is hard to see on their own body. If they can't easily see it, they miss the fact that they are having an outbreak. 3. If someone is tested for std's, they are USUALLY not tested for herpes unless they ask for the HERPES blood test or they have a VISABLE SORE at the time of doctor's visit. Most people do not ask for the herpes blood test unless they SPECIFICALLY believe they are infected with herpes. Asking to be checked for std's does not get you this blood test. It's expensive too. Some people are tested for syphillis routinely, but again, this is a blood test requirement, not something you can find out you have by peeing in a cup. So darling, it sounds to me like you WERE INFECTED with either syphillis or herpes and you need to go to the doctor. If it's herpes, you have to be checked when you get another outbreak. If it's syphillis, you can find out through a simple blood test. So go to the doctor, because you aren't doing yourself any favors by not going. You can get symptom reduction for herpes or be cured from syphillis if you are infected with it. As for the genital warts in the eyes. Yes, it is possible. Is it likely? No. A cream could be used to treat the warts, but it is really unlikely for this to occur. Genital warts are caused by direct skin to skin contact, so the genitals that are infected with warts, would need to be rubbed against the eyes, eyelids. Not impossible, but again, unlikely. Hope this helped you out. Go to the doctor. Talk to your partner about what is going on with you. Have your partner tested for the diseases you are checked out for. Good Luck! Megan Andelloux
