Question:
My boyfriend has been fingering me and i told him to stop because i had this pain on the left lip of my vagina, soon the lip had gotten bigger, about the size of a walnut, and is now the size of a golf ball, or bigger. It hurt a lot at first, but after it got to the size of a golf ball it didn't hurt as much and i can now sit up and kind of limp around, although before it kept getting bigger and felt like a knife was stabbing me on my outer left lip. I can see some purple on inside of the lip, please tell me what is wrong and if it is something for me to be very worried about, or if i should wait a few days or see a doctor asap... *note: we are both still virgins, so i dont think it could be an std?

Hi, thanks for your question, and I'm sorry that you are experiencing this pain and confusion. I can tell you right off that this sort of reaction is not common to any STD that I know. I strongly urge you to visit a doctor or the emergency room as soon as possible. The swelling of one labia (or lip) and sharp pain of that nature is not a regular occurence during sexual pleasure, and I cannot even begin to diagnose such a thing because I am not a medical doctor. Furthermore, even a medical doctor cannot diagnose something over the internet, and so you need to see someone in person as soon as you can. I hope all turns out well for you, and I wish you the best. Sincerely, M. Scott Gross
