Question:
I was masturbating for 56 minutes (trying to last longer to prevent premature ejaculation) using some old 'lovers lubricant' that was water-soluble. There was some slight pain on the head of the penis, for short periods after 40 minutes. After masturbating, and while in the shower, I noticed that there was some form of swelling on the head of the penis, but under examination I realized it was on the foreskin (the part that is at the base of head, when the penis is erect). My foreskin is uncircumcised, and does not open wide enough to get the head of the penis through when it is erect. I have been to see the doctor about this, and he gave me cream to help it stretch, however I grew tired of this after not seeing any results. I can get the head of the penis through when the penis is soft, but it is very sensitive, and the foreskin rolls up when I do this. The swelling on the foreskin is not a pop-able blister, but is discolored like a blister. It is a little sore to touch. I have never had sexual intercourse with anyone (at 19 years of age), and don't think it is STD related. PS could the tight foreskin be limiting my penis size? It is only 6" (sometimes it is a bit bigger, sometimes smaller….)

Any one who masturbates for a long time will surely get swelling, pain and tenderness on the penis. You are right the sore is likely not due to an STD. It is most likely because of friction during masturbation. If you do not masturbate for a few days, it should heal by itself. A tight foreskin will not ususally limit the size of a penis. Besides a six-inch penis is quite normal sized. A cream would not stretch the foreskin. You need to discuss this with your doctor once more.
