Question:
About four times a year, or less, I get a pea-sized bump on my genitals, never more than one at a time, never in the same place. The bump is painful when touched, like a bad acne, does not itch, even has a white head like a pimple. Lasts only a few days.

The bump that you describe may be herpes. Herpes, on average, recurs four times per year, manifesting itself as a painful, reddish bump or sore, that may be tender and itchy. This bump(s) can also be filled with pus. It would be a good idea to get tested for herpes with a different physician. You may find that this is not herpes, rather a pimple. To avoid the transmissions of STDs or HIV, you and your partner should practice safe sex and use a condom. Thank you for visiting the Sexual Health Network.
