Question:
I am a 26 year old virgin and have recently started seeing a man who wants to be sexually active. We've pleasured each other in many ways but have never had intercourse. I am nervous about my "first time" not becuase of him, but because I don't know what to expect. I've heard horror stories about the first time, bleeding, his penis being too big to fit etc. I want to have sex with him, but want to know in general what to expect, how to prepare. Thanks for any info u can give me!

You have a very realistic approach. Of all the people I know and have seen report about the first time, there are several common features. It isn't the earth shattering event people expect (the first time) sex does get better, and you learn to be orgasmic. It doesn't just happen. If you still have an intact hymen, then you can expect a small amount of blood and may or may not experience some discomfort. It is quite normal and natural to be apprehensive the first time. But if you plan it, take plenty of time with foreplay, use a condom and water based lubricant, then you shouldn't have any drama. The second time will be far more pleasurable as you then have a basis for comparison. Most women enjoy the feeling of penetration, of feeling the vagina 'full' The vagina is made up of many folds of tissue and can accommodate a very large penis, after all babies come out of there too. If your man is of average size and you are of average size, then you won't have any difficulty. If you remember to focus on pleasure, take your time and be relaxed about enjoying each other, you will both have a special and wonderfully intimate time. Good Luck!
