The first time for performing oral sex is always a little intimidating - What to do?! As long as you make sure not to scrape your teeth against his penis, by covering your teeth with your lips, you almost cannot go wrong in providing your partner with pleasure. Simply take his penis, preferrably condom-covered, into your mouth and begin to suck. You can move your mouth up and down his shaft, imitating the thrusting that takes place during intercourse. You can move your tongue around the head of his penis in a circular fashion. You can take turns sucking on his penis and testicles. In whatever you choose to do, make sure you start out gently and try to keep the motion of your movements consistent, working up to deeper and deeper, faster and faster movements. Other things you can do include: kissing and touching other parts of his genital area; stimulating the base of his penis with your hand while you suck on the tip; and humming while you suck. One thing that you should be aware of in performing oral sex, is that there is the potential for you to acquire an STD or HIV. To protect yourself, as I mentioned before, try putting a condom on your partner before you pleasure him. Make sure you use a non-spermicidal condom - so that you don't mind the taste - and you may want to try a polyurethane condom since they're thinner and more pleasurable (because they transmit heat better). Thank you for visiting the Sexual Health Network. Yvonne K. Fulbright, MS.Ed.
