Question:
I just have a question, maybe you can help me. I recently went to the gyno and I have an infection called gardenalla. I was wondering if my husband could get it? He says he hasn't had any signs of it. I know it's not an STD and even virgins can get it. Is there any way I could get it back if he has it?

Gardnerella or BV is simply a condition that means that the delicate ecosystem of your vagina is a little off and a certain type of bacteria that always lives in your vagina (gardnerella)has overgrown. Studies show that partners don't need to be treated and it's not an infection that couples "pass back and forth". You should be fine after you're treated, if not, go back to your doctor and see if your vaginal "balance" is still off.Good luck.
