Question:
Solo Pleasure
Before my partner and I split up, I had an active sex life. He was the only sexual partner I'd had since the onset of my
disability. Now that I am on my own sexually, I am interested in masturbation but have limited hand function and hardly
any trunk stability. Any suggestions?

You can tape or Velcro a cuff to a vibrator, or strap the vibrator to a long handle so you can reach your genitalia more easily.
If lubrication is an issue, try Astroglide or one of the other new products on the market. You'll find vibrators and lubricants in
mail order catalogues (e.g. Good Vibrations or Xandria) or at your local adult toy store.
Since trunk stability is a concern, try propping yourself up with pillows behind your back. If you can manage it, bringing each
leg up will put you in a spread-eagle position. A small pillow or rolled towel under each leg can provide additional support.
Another option is to use your wheelchair. If you use a calf strap, simply put your feet on the strap and scoot your butt forward
a little. Voila, you are ready. Reading (or writing) erotica, watching adult videos, self-hypnosis, pleasuring yourself in front of
a mirror and using feathers or furs to stimulate your tactile senses are all viable forms of masturbation.
