Question:
WHEN ME AND MY FIANCE HAVE SEX AND EVEN A DAY OR TWO AFTER, A SMELL ACCOMPANIES. IS IT NORMAL TO HAVE A SMELL ON OUR GENITALS? AND IF SO WHAT IS NORMAL? THE SMELL IS NOT SOMETHING THAT I CLASSIFY AS PLEASENT, SO HOW DO PEOPLE STAND TO GIVE ORAL SEX? NETHER OF US LIKES ORAL SEX, BUT THE SMELL IS THE MAIN FACTOR IN THAT? PLEASE HELP-I FEEL FOOLISH.

It is very possible that the smell you are referring to after you have intercourse is just the normal smell of the mixing of your fluids. It does have an odor and often because we are Americans we are used to everything having a perfumed odor rather than one that is natural body. In many parts of the world, natural body smells from underarms and other body perspirations is normal but seems very strong to us. This is probably the case here as well. It is possible that you are also spreading sexually transmitted infection fluids (from gonorrhea or chlamydia) to each other as well but you would probably have more symptoms than just odor. There is no question that some of the pleasure in oral sex is liking the smells of normal body odors without any douching or perfuming of the area. Women often talk about how semen that males produce tastes and smells differently depending on the man. I hope this is helpful information for you.
