Question:
Hello Dr. Birch. I am a 50 year old woman. I have been married and have 2 grown children. I am now with a man 15 years older than myself. I rarely, if ever, have had an orgasm. On top of this, my partner has premature ejaculations. I start feeling good and then it's over. Any suggestions for helping me achieve an orgasm? Thank you for your time.

Many women have difficulty experiencing an orgasm during intercourse, no matter how long their partner can last. It is an issue of anatomy... in most positions of intercourse there is not enough clitoral stimulation. You did not mention if you are able to orgasm in other ways (oral or manual stimulation or through masturbation). If you need to learn to be orgasmic, never having had one, there are wonderful resouces for learning. If, on the other hand, you are already orgasmic but not during intercourse, encourage your partner to stimulate you in more effective ways and then move on to intercourse after you have had your orgasm. Sounds like he'll have no problem with his (which is a wonderful endorsement for sexuality into the sixties).
