PAST 3 YEARS I AM EXPERIENCING LACK OF SENSATION IN MY PENIS. I AM ALSO HAVING ERECTION PROBLEMS. AM I SUFFERING FROM A DISEASE. IS THERE ANY SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. I AM NOT AN ALCOHOLIC BUT I SMOKE REGULARLY. DOES THAT AFFECT MY SEXUAL DRIVE?????

Thank you for sharing your concern with Sexual Health.com. I presume from your mail that you are referring to the sense of touch on the penis. If however you refer to the lack of or decrease in orgasmic sensation please get back to me.

Prolonged habit of smoking can cause erectile difficulties in the long run but does not lead to loss of penile sensation. On the other hand diabetes if gone undetected or uncontrolled for a long time can lead to reduced sensation in the glans penis.

Please consult an andrologist or urologist in your locality, who will order necessary tests to determine whether the sensory loss experienced is the result of any underlying neurological causes. Sometimes sever anxiety can mask the ability to experience pleasurable sensations leading to further anxiety and erection problems.
