Question:
My boyfriend has a problem keeping an erection during sex. We have had the best luck with ultra thin condoms, but last time it broke. Granted I am on ortho cyclen and we both like to continue using condoms because of the double barrier method of protection. However I do not know what to do to help keep the erection. It is not a drug or alcohol related, nor does it have anything to do with anxiety issues. I just want to know what I can do to try and keep him hard.

I have to be honest and say I do not see the need for condoms if you are both monogamous, disease free, and you are using the pill to prevent pregnancy - so perhaps you could consider not using a condom if that is the reason for his erection problem - which does happen to some men. It is good to know that it is not about you - but I am sure the anxiety this is creating can be an issue - be sure to talk openly- and ask him what he would like to do to keep the erection - it is not your job to maintain his erection - it is his. best wishes!
