Question:
my friend just had sex for the first time and her cherry/hymen popped but there is a string/tube looking thing hanging out about half an inch, is that the cherry/hymen not popped all the way? Any advice will help thanx!!!

Thank you for submitting your question. Even though your friend has sex for the first time, there is no guarantee that her hymen didn't break earlier. Many girls break their hymens (from athletics, horseback riding, etc.) and don't even know it. As I am not a medical doctor, I cannot tell you what that string/tube is. However, the hymen does not fall out of a woman's vagina. It is a tissue that can tear during vigorous activity (including sex). I would recommend that your friend see a gynecologist/clinician that she is comfortable with to determine what has happened. I hope this information helps!
