Hi, I'm going to direct you to a question I just answered on this same topic. You can read my answer here. Basically, I will reassure you that there is nothing physically wrong with masturbating. As for whether or not it is irreligious, that's something you'll have to decide for yourself. Personally, I don't find it to be. But some pastors and priests might disagree. And, yes, the issue of masturbation CAN cause problems in a relationship (that is, it can make a romantic partner jealous or hurt), but it doesn't HAVE to, and it's certainly something that can be worked out.
