I know your partner says he has had experience using the withdrawal method and that is helpful to make it more effective. The problem is that when you put the penis into the vagina, there is always the chance that some sperm can be left in there. When a man gets excited and erect, he produces what we call pre-cum that comes out without him even knowing it. There can be sperm in that pre-cum. Then when he withdraws before he ejaculates the sperm inside of your vagina, there is some risk that he has already left pre-cum with sperm in it that could get you pregnant. The risk isn't 100% or terribly high but it is very possible for you to get pregnant.

Even using withdrawal well, could mean you have a risk of getting pregnant.

If you continue to enjoy and want to have intercourse with him, I would really recommend that you use other more reliable pregnancy prevention. One that he can use, is the latex condom. You could also go to a doctor and ask for methods such as the hormonal methods, which are easy to use and excellent protection against pregnancy. (Keep in mind they don't protect you against disease so you may want to have your partner always use a condom to keep you from getting a sexually transmitted disease, if he has had other partners before you. Men don't always know that they carry diseases if they don't get themselves checked regularly.

If you have other questions of me, please feel free to write back. I have worked in the Philippines and am familiar with your culture and the practices of health care providers.
