Question:
My girlfriend and I had sex recently, we used a condom but afterwards saw it not on the penis, we weren't sure whether it came off before during or after ejaculation. It was roughly 13 days before the expected period. She is on the pilll and has been for well over 8 months. We were wondering what the likelihood of insemination was as well as whether the morning after pill would be a good idea?

Good Thing she's on the pill because that is prime time for her to be ovulating (aka getting pregnant if there is sperm around). Any time a condom falls off, assume that it happened before ejaculation, just to be on the safe side. She's on the pill so it makes it very unlikely to get pregnant, but to be on the safe side, go get the morning after pill, TODAY (it is only effective for 3 days after the accident happens). For future reference, using colored condoms is slightly safer than using clear condoms. That way, if you look down at yourself at any time, and you had a purple condom on when you started, but now you only see your flesh tone, you realize you have a problem. Colored condoms give us the visual cue that the condom is still all on. That being said, they're fun too. YOu can color coordinate with the upcoming holidays-Fourth of July is coming up-hello red or blue penis. :) Thanks for writing in! Megan Andelloux
