Question:
hi my bf and i have been going on for 3 years, we are so very much hot with each other because since then we still haven't rried that sex thing. although sometimes, when we are kissing, licking and doing almost everything, we cannot control ourselves but to get naked down and try SEX...but eventually, his penis didn't really get in (he really controlled it because our tradition should be sex after marriage), but almost getting in then he's gonna pull it away. MY question is: Is it possible to get pregnant on that way? eventhough you didin't really have that SEX? only (i don't know wats the exact term but i think it is) "Foreplay"??? pls. help me asap.... thank you very much

Dear wondering, It sounds as if you are doing everything you can in order to prevent pregnancy. And yes, the term "foreplay" refers to some sexual activity other than intercouse (sex) itself, although there are other names for some sexual behaviors, such as "oral sex" for mouth to genitals, and specifically, "cunnilingus" for mouth to female genitals and "fellatio" for mouth to male genitals. In order for pregnancy to occur, sperm have to gain entry to the vagina, and this can happen in a number of ways. When a man's penis becomes erect, there are often a few drops of liquid that form at the tip of the penis, this is also called pre-ejaculate, or pre-cum. Sperm can be present in the pre-ejaculate, and this is why some women get pregnant during sex, even if the man pulls his penis out before he ejaculates (or comes). Once sperm have entry to the vagina, they are able to swim into the woman's uterus through her vaginal fluids and fertilize her egg. It is possible for sperm to gain entry if the man is rubbing his penis between the woman's legs and makes contact with her vulva (the outer area of her genitals). Sperm are fairly fragile outside the body, so this way is even less likely, but possible. From what you have described, it does not seem likely that pregnancy could happen, but use this information to help you decide if there was contact of the penis to your vagina. Your partner could wear a condom, if you wanted to have close contact without the worry of pregnancy. God luck and write again if you have any other questions. Signed, Raven James
