I wrote to you about a week ago. Maybe you did not get my email. No worries. I am 15 years old. I wanted to ask you a question concerning my puberty. I have pubic hair extending 5cm from the base of my penis. i have just started to get armhairs and obviously no facial hair yet. My penis is 13cm long when erect. I would like to know how long does puberty take to finish and also will my penis get any larger. Has masturbation had any effect on the well-being of my body in terms of puberty. Please could you also let me know if their are ANY side effects to masturbation. Thanks a lot.

Thank you for submitting your question. We usually say that puberty (for boys) starts around 11 and last until about 17. Of course, this is an average - there are boy that experience puberty earlier and later than that. In terms of penis length, the penis and testicles will get larger throughout puberty. Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing when exactly that is going to stop. However, there are no side effects from masturbation. It is a completely normal, healthy, and safe behavior.
