My finace has a complete spinal cord injury. He is not able to get an erection or ejaculate. I was just wonder what options we have for having children. What is would the process to remove semen from him surgically be called and about how much would that cost? How much would it cost to have it put into me? Thank you!

You almost answered your own question. The most likley suggestion your GP or gynaecologist/ obstetrician is likley to make is that of IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation). The process involves harvesting healthy eggs from you, collecting sperm from him, and achieving conception by helping the sperm penetrate the egg in sterile conditions in a test tube. These embryos (usually quite a large number are prepared) are then frozen cryogenically and implanted in your uterus at an appropriate time. There are a lot of moral, religious and eithical issues sourrounding IVF and counselling is a part and parcel of that process. I suggest you contact your local doctor for information about these sorts of procedures and more specific information, (including the costs) that is involved.
