whether it is safe for her because of her limited

Answer: by Mitchell Tepper: (05/15/2004)
Rely on timing and common sense, and assess the risk of bowel accidents within the context of the existing bowel routine. If bowel movements between scheduled evacuations are uncommon for your partner, then you may be relatively safe if you avoid the hours of her scheduled bowel program. But if your partner has a full bowel, does not have an established routine or has frequent accidents, then the risks are higher.
As long as you both know the risk of a bowel accident exists and you still want to experiment with anal intercourse, then more inconvenience then harm will come if a bowel accident does occur.
Keep in mind that anal intercourse carries the greatest risk of transmitting sexual infections including hepatitis and HIV. Therefore, a condom well lubricated should be used. Extra water-soluble lubricant should also be used to
increase ease of penetration, reduce the chances of tearing the rectal lining and decrease the risk of breaking the condom. Obviously if your partner feels pain, bleeds or experiences dysreflexia, you should stop.
