I am a man whom is disabled (C4-5 Quadriplegic) and gay. I have questions and concerns about anal sex without having sensation.

Hi, I don't really know much about disability issues for GLBT people. I asked Mitch Tepper, who runs this site, for some input, because he is very knowledgeable about disability issues. Below are the comments he sent back to me: It may be easier for you to pass this on to him via the pass function. Let him know that Bob Guter runs a site for gay and bi men at http://bentvoices.org/subsplash.htm. Also refer him to a question I answered on anal sex and disability. The focus of the question was on fear of loosing control of the bowels http://sexualhealth.com/questions/read.cfm?ID=271. Worth a read for him though. In addition, warn him that without sensation, him and his partner need to take extra care in making sure there is enough lubrication and he's not getting hurt. With his level of injury there is a chance of triggering autonomic dysreflexia (high blood pressure resulting in sweating, head ache, and heart pounding) and if signs of this occur they should stop the stimulation. He may or may not experience pleasure from this even though he has no sensation. I hope this was helpful and I wish you luck. Blaise
