Question:
sometimes after having sex i experience headaches and dizziness if i try to stand or sit up. could this be something physically wrong with me?

Thank you for contacting us with your concern. You also mentioned that you are anemic. I think this could explain much of your problem. How is your blood pressure? People with very low blood pressure often experience dizziness when getting up from either lying or sitting down. This is simply due to having too little oxygen get to your brain for a moment. If you are anemic you also have less oxygen-transporting blood cells in your system.

So my first advice is to try to improve your anemia through dietary efforts (green leafed vegetables have lots of iron) or iron supplements. However, before taking any supplements it is very importnat to check with your doctor. He or she also will take your blood pressure and evaluate your whole situation.

It is not uncommon to experience headaches after sex and in particular after orgasm. Usually, this is nothing to worry about. But I would mention this to your doctor while you are there.
