Your question is a difficult one because some types of cervix cancer (squamous variety) tend to be slow growing and easily picked up (as early PRE cancers)on routine annual pap smears that women get at GYN visits. Other types (adeno) can be very aggressive and fast growing and can be difficult to detect until very late in the process. My condolences for your loss.
