Question:
i have a project to do on people with autism and was just wondering if they get married, how, what their lives are like and what are the chnaces of their kids getting autism?

This is a very broad question to which there are no statistics, no research and no clear-cut answer. I know from my own life, experience and all the mothers and fathers of Autistic and Aspergers children, who themselves have many 'traits' that there are many hundreds and thousands of people who lead normal lives, who have jobs, relationships and children, who have some form of autism.
Many adults are now 'self diagnosing' and the psychologists and psychiatrists are still clueless about the condition (especially in Australia).
If you do some research on Shadow Syndromes - a good book is "Shadow Syndromes; Chapter Six, Autistic Echoes" by John Ratey MD and Catherine Johnson PhD, a mother of an Autistic child, and FEAT newsletter editor. This book, as do others I'm sure - show how many are 'out there' The Newsweek article (1998) on OASIS is linked on the side.
To get some statistics on 'normal' autistics, you may need to contact larger research organisations
which you can find on the links below.
