Question:
I have noticed a bump on the top of my penis. This isn't on the skin, but seems to be below it. When I move the skin to one side, the bump stays in place. I am 17 and have never been sexually active in any way. This isn't a clogged pore or anything, this is a hard, tiny little bump below the skin. Do you have any clue what this might be?

Thanks for writing in. My motto is, when in doubt, check it out. There is no harm in going to see the doctor and since your not sexually active, it doesn't sound like an std. My thought? Possibly a infected hair follicle, sometimes that happens. A trip to the doctor's will be able to put your worries to rest though. If you are concerned about telling your parents you need to go to the doctor's, you can always go to a Planned Parenthood clinic where things are kept confidential (no one will find out you've been there) and prices are usually sliding scale (dependent on what you can afford).
Good Luck!
