Question:
hello, lately i have been having more trouble ejaculating during during masturbation as well as intercourse. i have no problem getting an erection and keeping it, until i am trying to have an orgasm, then, after a failed attempt, i will lose the erection and sometimes will have trouble getting it back. i have had some changes in diet (quit caffeine 2 months ago, started smoking pot, no red meat about 4 months ago) and wonder if this has any connection.

If you started smoking pot around the time you began having difficulty ejaculating, you might want to abstain from the pot to see if it makes a difference. You did not mention how often you are masturbating or how long you wait after masturbating to attempt sex with your partner. Remember, you are no longer 18 and if you masturbated too frequently, you will be unable to ejaculate. Also, you can expect problems if you attempt being sexual with your partner shortly after having masturbated to orgasm. Cut out the pot and significantly decrease the frequency of masturbation and see what effect these two changes make on your responsiveness to your current girlfriend.
