hi: sorry to hear that you are having a difficult time with your sexual relationship with your wife. there are many reasons why you may be having this problems. if i were you, i would do the following.... 1) make an appointment to see your doctor, a urologist would be best. while there may not be any physical problems, it may be a good idea to get a check-up to make sure that all is well physiologically. it can be difficult to talk with your doctor about this issues but remember, he/she has heard it before. you said that your difficulties started about 2 years ago. can you think of anything else that may have happened two years ago---a death in your family, problems, with your marriage, any other personal problems? the reason that i ask is that many sexual problems can be caused be the ways that we are feeling--sad, lonely, stressed, etc. make an appointment to see a counselor or therapist to discuss these issues. if possible, bring your wife with you so that the two of you can work these problems out. good luck! Dr. Mona
