Question:
what is supposed to happen when you have sex for the first time? Is is supposed to hurt? Are you supposed to bleed?

Answer:
by Beverly Whipple:

Many women report that the first time they have sexual intercourse that it is uncomfortable. This could be due to nervousness on your part, which could lead to very tight vaginal muscles or to inexperience on your partner’s part, with not enough sex play and stimulation. Some women bleed when they have intercourse for the first time, most do not. Again, this is all very individual. Sexual intercourse is a beautiful experience, but it should not be something that is engaged in lightly. A good relationship, that includes lots of communication about wants and desires, and what is pleasurable, is very important.
