Question:
How is the vagina lubricated? I've searched all of the online libraries, and I have only found general information. Help!

Answer:

The vaginal walls contain many small blood vessels. When these blood vessels become engorged with blood during sexual excitement or arousal, small droplets of fluid are squeezed through the blood vessel walls. These droplets are called transudate, and they appear on the vaginal walls like small beads. They form a layer of shiny lubricant that coats the inside of the vaginal walls. I hope this is the information you are looking for and it helps you to understand more about how your body works.
