Question:
I would just like to know what would happen if you have sex while you have in a tampon...Would it find it's way to the vaginal opening or would it be lodged inside your vagina?

It is not recommended that you have sexual intercourse with a tampon in place. First of all, why would you want to do this? The tampon lies in the vaginal barrel and it would not be pushed into the cervix of the uterus, if this is what you mean by the vaginal opening, but it could be difficult to remove if it is pushed up into the vaginal barrel. It may also cause trauma to the tissue if it is pushed against the cervix or the vaginal wall by a thrusting penis. There is no reason to have intercourse with a tampon in place. If you are having your menstrual period and would like not to have the menstrual flow, you could use a diaphragm to collect the flow, but just be sure you remove it immediately after intercourse to allow the blood to flow out of the vagina.
