Question:
My partner had an orgasm without having his genital area touched at all. There was sexual tension, a message, and nibbling on his ear, and he orgasmed after about 3 hours of preparing for me giving him a blowjob. He was sitting in a chair and I was kissing his ear and rubbing my lips on it, and he orgasmed violently, with his hips raising up out of the chair for a few seconds and making uncontrolled noises. When it was over, he said "nothing like that has ever happened to me" and he told me that his entire right side had gone numb and his back was still spasming a little. He seemed happy with the experience, so I guess it didn't hurt him, but I was wondering if something had gone wrong. I'm fairly inexperienced and I don't know if it's normal for a guy to have part of his body go numb during an orgasm, especially if he hasn't had it happen before. Is this a problem, did I do something wrong, or is it just normal? I'm kind of confused about it.

It is not unusual for a man to have an orgasm without having his genitals touched. This happens often at night during dreams (wet dreams or noctornal emmissions), when a man is very anxious and ejaculate before entering the vagina in cases of heterosexual intercourse, and like in this case, where there's a nice long buildup of sexual excitation and sexual tension. His strong orgasm that occured by surprise is consistent with the activities that were gong on. As far as the numbness goes, this is not expected from orgasm but if he was sitting in the chair for 3 hours and not paying attention to any discomfort he may have been experiencing because the pleasure was so strong, them maybe the sitting was the cause and not the orgasm. I'm assuming his sensation came back quickly. If the numbness happens again then I would recommend exploring that with a doctor. Not to worry, you did nothing wrong!
