Question:
I get a erection, but am not able to maintain it for more that a 5 seconds, as soon as my penis comes in contact with the vagina it ejaculates. This causes shame and humiliation to me. Please suggest if anything can be done on this defect.

If you are indeed ejaculating within seconds, you either need to learn to relax or you should be ejaculating more frequently (and probably both). There is a strategy for learning better ejaculatory control which takes a fair amount of time and works best with a cooperative partner. This learning program is outlined in my book Male Sexual Endurance which is described at http://oralcaress.com, as well as in the excellent book by Dr. Helen Kaplan, PE: Overcoming Premature Ejaculation. However, given that your response is so quick, if you are having ejaculations on a regular and frequent basis (alone and with a partner), you may benefit from one of the medications that physicians are now prescribing to help men with a rapid ejaculatory response. Even with medication (that you cannot take for the rest of you life) you should see a qualified sex therapist or read one of the books on the topic. Ejaculatory control is something you can learn, but even though medication may slow you down a bit, you will not learn anything by taking a pill. Find a qualified sex therapist in our geographic area by going to http://assect.org.
