Question:
I just had oral sex with my boyfriend and now I'm really itchity down there and I decided to check it out and my skin has a whitish layer on it? What is this and should I be concerned?

It is not likely that you would develop a rash from your partner's saliva that quickly, as it sounds as though you began itching shortly after he quit. Could it be that he needed a shave and scratched you with his beard? Had he been sucking on a breath mint before orally stimulating you? The whitish layer you mentioned might be your own lubrication -- perhaps you have never looked "down there" immediately after sexual activity. If after a shower and a night's sleep you still feel irritated, you might consider making an appointment with your gynecologist. However, my guess is that this will pass quickly and there really is nothing for you to be worried about. Robert W. Birch, Ph.D.
