Question:
I am 20 years old and have never had a boyfriend. I also have trouble getting guys to like me. Im not thin and I am not light skinned and I think that has something to do with why. Sometimes I come home wanting to end it all because of this because this has plagued me forever.

Thank you for submitting your question. You are not alone. Many people feel insecure about their looks and their bodies and find it difficult to "fit in". But how boring would it be if we all looked alike! It is important to remember that everyone feels insecure at some point in his/her life. Every person's body is different and there is beauty in all of us - but that doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt...But I am very concerned about your last statement. If you feel like "ending it all", I strongly recommend that you contact the following organizations to talk about it. These places are confidential and do not report what you say. You can call 1.800.784.2433 as well as contact 860.232.2121. These are suicide hotline numbers that will tell you how to find help in your area - as well as talk you through some of these feelings that you are having. The following websites can also provide you with this information. Remember you are not alone.
