Question:
My girlfriend likes to swallow when we have oral sex. Is there a concern with regards to swallowing large amounts of sperm on a regular basis? We are both healthy with no STD's. We just want to ensure that there is no danger in swallowing sperm on a consitent basis. (ie. a minimum of 5 times a week)

Thanks for writing in. I think you asked a wonderful question; a question many wonder about but few are courageous enough to ask. The only real consideration in regularly consuming sperm would be in regard to STIs. If you are certain that you both are truly infection-free, then there is absolutely nothing to worry about. You specifically ask about sperm but remember that sperm is only a tiny part of the whole fluid, semen. Sperm is actually less than 1% of the total fluid you ejaculate. The rest of the fluid comes from the seminal vesicles, prostate, and Cowper's glands. In fact, semen contains a number of important nutrients such as water, sugar, proteins, vitamin E, Vitamin C, and zinc. Of course, it would take gallons of semen to have any real nutritional impact and you're just talking about a tiny amount (figure about a teaspoon of semen every time you "cum") so you shouldn't look at it as a nutritional supplement.
I hope this helped and I wish you both much success and happiness. I also hope you at least return the favor... Take care and be well.
Peace.
