Question:
Hi there and thank you for taking the time for this. My question is how safe is oral sex in terms of health problems if both partners are healthy and clean? (by healthy I mean both have no colds or other extra organisms like viruses or bacterias present in the mouth, by clean I mean both have no STDs). Are there different kind of risks between fellatio and cunningilus? My girlfriend is afraid that she might contract some germs from my mouth if I go down on her (like yeast infection and other vaginal infections). Thanks!

Oral sex is extremely safe in your situation - you say you are both disease free. Good for you. Unfortunately, many people associate genitals with being "dirty" so the act of kissing one's genitals gets associated with being dirty as well. Cleanliness is a common issues with oral sex... if possible, I would suggest beginnning foreplay in the shower or bath together may be reassuring. Best wishes.
