Question:
I have dated my current girlfriend for 5 months now (we are both virgins and first time boy/girlfriend to each other). Two weeks ago I have started to massage her breasts and sucking her nipples and she felt fine afterwards. Then last week we went further and we were petting each other (one of us always had underwear on when the other was naked). Our genitals might had touched each other but there were always underwear in between it then she masturbated me to the finish with her hand. Beginning from four days ago she noticed that she had started to feel swelling/tenderness on her right breast that spread to her left yesterday (like the one during PMS, but slightly worse). She last had her menstrual bleeding stopped two weeks ago. My question is: What caused her breasts conditions? Is it possible for her to get pregnant from genital contacts as described above?

Thank you for your great question. Yes it is possible to get pregnant from genital-to-genital contact. Sperm are motile and can swim, in an attempt to get to the egg, to do what it was made to do - fertilize the ovum.
While it seems unlikely your girlfriend has become pregnant, remember it still IS possible. If there is no condom, or complete barrier, then fluids can be spread. She only needs to touch herself with some of the sperm on her hands from masturbating you, and that could be sufficient for her to conceive. The only way to be certain she is not pregnant is to do a pregnancy test. You can buy test kits at any chemist or drugstore. These tests look for HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin) in the urine. This hormone is released by the fertilized egg. So this hormone in the urine is a positive sign of pregnancy. Make sure you do the test more than once, as it is common to get a false-positive reading. Should you have a pregnancy on your hands, you will need to communicate with each other and get advice about what options there are and what your chosen path of action is.
What I feel may be more likely, is that she simply has what can be termed a 'hormonal flush' where the female body releases hormones at the time of ovulation. The side effects from this include what is termed 'pre-menstrual tension' (changes in mood and irritability) breast enlargement and tenderness (especially under the arms) some abdominal bloating and a feeling of malaise (tired and washed-out).
I hope this answers you initial concerns. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask any of the great experts here on The Sexual Health Network.
